Are the pieces the ones in the photos?
Yes. Every piece is one of a kind, and the photos show the actual piece.
What finishes do you use?
Pieces are finished with Tru-Oil, Tried and True varnish oil (linseed oil and natural resins), friction polish or shellac. The finish is listed on each product page.
Are the finishes food safe?
The shop lists the friction polish and the Tried and True varnish oil finish as food safe where noted on the product page. The wood spheres, obelisks and spires are display pieces.
Will flame box elder maple fade?
Flame box elder maple gets its red or pink coloring when the tree is stressed. The coloring may fade with UV exposure, so keep these pieces out of strong direct sunlight.
Are there cracks or marks in the wood?
Natural cracks, grain patterns and color variations are part of the wood and are left to show.
Where do you ship, and what does shipping cost?
Pieces are made by hand in Idaho and ship anywhere in the United States. Shipping is free.
